Application Process

Applications, notifications, and award management information for MINIP are housed and operated via the Award Montana Portal. Each applicant will create an Award Montana account, through which their application and supporting materials are collected and submitted. 

The portal is organized by section including Professional  Program Assistance, Loan Repayment Program, and an Undergraduate Program section. The MINIP application can be found under the Loan Repayment Program section. Begin an application by selecting "YES" and "Montana Institutional Nursing Incentive Program," then select "Continue to Application" to begin. 

The following information will be needed to begin your application:

  • Student Loan(s) Information including your loan balance, account information, origination date, etc.
  • Montana Nursing License Information

Following the close of the application cycle, OCHE staff work to review application materials and loan information to determine the award amount and initial disbursement date. Award information will be shared via the Award Montana Portal.
