Great Seal of the Montana University System

The Montana Grow Your Own Educator initiative is a direct result of a first-time legislative appropriation in the 2021 Montana legislature.  The program is designed to prepare high school students for careers as educators in the schools and the communities where they live.

The Montana University System issued a call for promising proposals in the summer of 2021 and three grants were awarded.  

Each program welcomed students in January 2022 and will continue to work hard to develop well prepared, home grown educators in the community where they live in the coming years.
