ITEM 118-102-R0303   Approval of Trever Waldron as the student representative to the Student Loan Advisory Council for the period from January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2004.

THAT: Consistent with Montana Code Annotated, 2-15-1520, the Board of Regents of Higher Education appoints the representatives to the Montana Guaranteed Student Loan Program Student Loan Advisory Council. The Council advises MGSLP on policies, rules and procedures, and assures that students, colleges, and lenders are adequately served.

 

EXPLANATION: State statute requires the Board of Regents to approve the members of the Student Loan Advisory Council. The members are appointed on a rotating basis. The student representative is nominated by the Montana Association of Students and may serve for one or two years, depending on the student's anticipated graduation date from college.
