ITEM 118-1001-R0303 Authorization to Expend Student Computer Fee Allocations; The University of Montana-Missoula

THAT:   In accordance with Montana University System Policy 940.23, the Board of Regents authorizes the expenditure of student computer fee money for the following:

Hardware and Software

College of Arts and Sciences $136,020

Computing and Information Services 80,000

Student Access Points Network Access 80,000

Mansfield Library 34,000

Wireless Project Phase 2 32,500

Information Technology Office Contingency $ 30,000

 

Student Employment

Computing and Information Services $128,808

College of Arts and Sciences 104,101

School of Business Administration 35,578

College of Technology $ 29,802

 

EXPLANATION: Board of Regents Policy 940.23 requires Board approval of all allocations from Student Computer Fee funds over $25,000. Allocations of smaller amounts receive approval by the Commissioner and President ($10,000-$25,000) or President (up to $9,999). The complete list of allocations is attached. The Student Computer Fee Committee, whose membership includes 50 percent students as required by Board policy, developed and endorsed this proposal unanimously.
