ITEM 112-1014-R0701 Increase Student Supplemental Medical Insurance Fee; The University of Montana
THAT: The Board of Regents of the Montana University System authorizes The University of Montana-Missoula, The University of Montana-Western, and Montana Tech of The University of Montana to assess a per semester insurance fee as represented on the matrix for the Student Medical Insurance program.
EXPLANATION: All campuses listed participate in a joint insurance program that provides the same levels of medical insurance coverage to participating students. In addition, The University of Montana-Missoula assesses an administrative fee to provide direct service to students enrolled in the Student Medical Insurance program by providing a campus-based student insurance representative. The UM-Missoula campus also contracts with an insurance consultant to provide insurance program review services.
