Proposed Revisions to 940.21 - Authorization to Withhold Registration, Transcripts and Diploma from Students

Board policy:

            1.  Each president or chancellor is authorized to refuse to register a student who has an overdue debt owing to the institution campus.

            2.  Transcripts and diplomas may be withheld from any student who owes regular fees and charges (including room and board).

            3.  The president or chancellor is also authorized to refuse to register a student who has an overdue debt owing to any campus of the Montana University System.  The president or chancellor must have written confirmation from the business office of the campus where the obligation is owing prior to refusing to register the student.
