Proposed Revision to 705.1 - Performance Evaluation; Commissioner of Higher Education
Board policy:
1. An evaluation of the performance of the
Commissioner of Higher Education shall be conducted annually in accordance with
these procedures.
Procedures:
1. In the spring of each year in open
session the Commissioner of Higher Education will review with the Regents the
activities of his office and the University System as a whole during the past
year and also goals and objectives for the coming year.
2. The Regents will review with the
Commissioner his personal performance, achievements and problems during the
past year and indicate any specific matters they wish to have addressed during
the coming year. This portion of the
review may be in executive session if requested by the Commissioner.
3. In executive session the Commissioner
will review with the Regents the performance of upper-level
administrators in his office (i.e. those persons whose positions appear on the
Administrative Salary Scale) during the past year and salary
adjustments which will be proposed for the coming year.
