THAT:�������������������������������������� The Board of Regents of Higher Education authorizes Montana State University-Great Falls College of Technology to offer an Associate of Applied Science degree to be delivered as part of its offerings in Bozeman. The proposed degree responds to the needs of area students who wish to pursue a career in commercial aviation or complement their academic degree or career credentials with aeronautic skills.
EXPLANATION:����������������������� Montana State University-Great Falls College of Technology is charged with creating degree programs that enhance workforce development and lead to high-demand, high-wage jobs for Montanans. An Associate of Applied Science degree in Aviation will qualify students for entry-level employment in the aviation industry.� Half of all the currently employed commercial pilots are due to retire in the next ten years, ensuring steady employment in an expanding field.
