ITEM 105-2001-R1199 Authorization to Construct Greenhouse Café; Montana State University-Bozeman

THAT: Consistent with the provisions of MCA 20-25-302, the Board of Regents of the Montana State University System authorizes Montana State University Bozeman to construct a café on campus at Montana State University Bozeman. The estimated cost for this project is $250,000.

EXPLANATION: 1. The Greenhouse Café will be located near the west end of the Centennial Mall on the MSU Bozeman campus. The new cafe will be constructed on the existing foundation from a previously demolished plant greenhouse and will provide easy access for specialty drinks and light foods for the western half of the academic campus. The cafe will be open to the campus population, including students, staff, faculty and visitors throughout the year.

2. This project will be financed with funds from Auxiliary Operations Revenue (Renewal and Replacement Budget) in excess of debt service obligations.
