Business and Education: A Great Partnership!
Have you ever considered forming a partnership with higher education? By collaborating with institutions of Montana's education system, businesses are able to enhance the education students receive while at the same time, help ensure that Montana's business needs are being met.
Having recognized the need for such important collaboration, many organizations are developing partnerships specific to their area of expertise. Below is just one example of existing partnerships.
- A partnership between 2-year colleges and the construction industry resulted in Montana receiving almost 2 million from the U.S. Department of Labor to build regional training centers. This meets the growing demand for skilled workers in both residential and commercial construction.
- During the Montana State Career Clusters Conference in 2007, business and industry leaders, secondary teachers and postsecondary instructors, and representatives from many other groups met and networked during the three day event. The Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education would like to thank the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce for their support and efforts at the conference.
