Application Process
Applications are made jointly by a physician and an organization or institution (i.e., a hospital or clinic) located in the community in which the physician wishes to practice. The application form contains sections for both the physician and supporting institution/organization to complete. The physician applicant must submit loan verification/information forms for each education loan being submitted for repayment consideration. Only verifiable medical education debt qualifies for repayment. Medical education debt may include undergraduate education debt, but may not include debt incurred during residency training.
The following application materials must be submitted by physician applicants to receive consideration for program participation:
- MRPIP Application

- Loan Information/Verification Form(s) and Loan Documents
- Curriculum Vitae or Resume
- Documentation regarding the need for assistance with physician recruitment and retention. (To be submitted by supporting institution.)
