MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
MONTANA UNIVERSITY SYSTEM
AND
MONTANA UNIVERSITY SYSTEM
MAINTENANCE PAINTERS UNION
The undersigned parties hereby agree to extend their
2001-2003 collective bargaining agreement until June 30, 2005 with the following
modifications.
1.
Section 14.1 CONTRACT
TERM
This contract shall be in full force and effect from July 1, 2003 to and including June 30, 2005, and shall be considered as renewed for a two year period thereafter unless either party to the agreement notifies the other in writing, in accordance with the following negotiations schedule.
2.
Section 14.2 NEGOTIATIONS
SCHEDULE
Either party desiring to modify or
terminate the agreement must notify the other in writing by March 30, 2005.
Changes agreed upon shall be reduced to writing and signed by both
parties.

ADDENDUM A I.
WAGE RATES
It is understood and agreed
between the parties to this agreement that wages for employees covered by this
agreement shall be as follows:
July 1, 2003 January 1, 2005
Journeyman Painter 16.52 16.77
Foreman 17.62 17.87
Painter Associate 11.92* 12.17*
4. NEW PROVISION:
A partial tuition waiver benefit will be piloted for bargaining unit employees during FY 2005. Such benefit shall be administered in accordance with Regent policy.
