- Presidents; Duties and Responsibilities

Board policy:
- The president of a unit
of the Montana University System is the chief executive officer at that unit
and is vested with the responsibility of administering Board policies under
the supervision and control of the Commissioner of Higher Education.
- Each president is under
the direction of and is responsible to the Commissioner of Higher Education.
Presidents are appointed by the Board of Regents upon the advice and recommendation
of the Commissioner.
