SUMMARY OF TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

BETWEEN

MONTANA UNIVERSITY SYSTEM

AND

AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE,

COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES,

LOCAL 2235

 

Extend the 2001-2003 collective bargaining agreement until June 30, 2005 except for the following changes and additions:

 

A.�������� Revise Addendum A as follows.

 

1.�������� Effective June 30, 2004, employees shall be eligible for .5% Achievement Pay.� The award of Achievement Pay on June 30, 2004 follows the Performance Development Cycle which commences no later than February 1, 2004 and ends on May 31, 2004.

 

2.�������� Effective June 30, 2005, employees shall be eligible for .5% Achievement Pay.� The award of Achievement Pay on June 30, 2005 follows the Performance Development Cycle which commences on June 1, 2004 and ends on May 31, 2005.

 

3.�������� Effective January 1, 2005, employees shall receive a 25 cent per hour salary increase.�

 

4.�������� In addition to the salary increases specified above, employees may be eligible for additional forms of pay increases as outlined in the Guide to the MUS Achievement Program (MAP) such as:� lump sum awards, strategic pay, and progression pay.

 

B.�������� Addendum D, Memorandum of Understanding- Recruitment, and Addendum E, Memorandum of Understanding- Recruitment (Custodians), will not be in effect during the 2003-2005-contract term.

 

C.�������� Add the following new provision as Addendum D:

 

The parties agree to meet and establish a Labor Management Coordinating Committee whose membership, meeting schedule, policies, procedures, rules and regulations shall be established by and between the committee members.� The parties further agree to request Montana State Board of Personnel or the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services to provide appropriate training and guidance.

 

D.�������� Add the following new memorandum of understanding as Addendum E:

 

A partial tuition waiver benefit for dependents will be piloted for bargaining unit employees during FY 2005.� Such benefit shall be administered in accordance with Regent policy.
