ITEM 118-1003-R0103                Expansion to Washington-Grizzly Stadium; The University of Montana - Missoula

 

THAT:                                      Consistent with the provisions of MCA 20-25-441 and 20-25-442, the Board of Regents of the Montana University System authorizes The University of Montana to imple�ment steps necessary to make the following improvements to the Washington-Grizzly Stadium on the Missoula campus:

 

�         Expand seating in the north end zone

�         Construct additional concessions and restroom facilities

�         Miscellaneous improvements

 

This project at an estimated cost of $2,500,000 will be financed with revenues from the sale of tickets and concessions.

 

EXPLANATION:�����������             Due to the success of the UM football program there is a high demand for additional seating in Washington Grizzly Stadium.�

It is the Intent of the university to transfer ownership of the stadium to the UM Foundation for the duration of the construction as allowed in the state statutes referenced above.
