ITEM 114-1002-R0302��� ����������� Miscellaneous Renovation and Maintenance Projects, University Villages; The University of Montana-Missoula
THAT:�� ����������������������������������� Consistent with the provisions of MCA 18-2-102, the Board of Regents of the Montana University System authorizes The University of Montana to implement steps necessary to undertake miscellaneous renovation and maintenance projects at the University Villages on the Missoula campus.� Auxiliary reserves will fund these projects at an estimated cost of $1,500,000 over the next three years.
EXPLANATION:����������������������� These miscellaneous renovation and maintenance projects will include window replacements and roof repairs, lead and asbestos abatement, painting, siding, and furnace replacement. The apartment units constructed in the 1950s and 1960s require extensive maintenance.� High-efficiency units will replace the existing outdated furnaces.� The existing clay tile sewer pipes pose a constant maintenance problem due to deterioration and infiltration by tree roots.
