ITEM 108-1003-R0700       Increase Student Supplemental Medical Insurance Fee; The University of Montana

 

THAT:                                    The Board of Regents of the Montana University System authorizes The University of Montana-Missoula, Western Montana College of The University of Montana, and Montana Tech of The University of Montana to assess a per semester insurance fee as represented on the attached matrix for the Student Medical Insurance program.

 

NOTE:                                   All campuses listed participate in a joint insurance program that provides the same levels of medical insurance coverage to participating students.  The insurance premium increase reflects a competitive bid process conducted by the campuses.  In addition, The University of Montana-Missoula assesses an administrative fee to provide direct, campus-based service to students enrolled in the Student Medical Insurance program.  The campus provides a student insurance representative and also contracts with an insurance consultant to provide insurance program review services.
